YOUTH  CONFERENCE

AGES 13 - 17

T

THE SISTERS OF OUR LADY IMMACULATE will be hosting this year’s youth stream.

Youth Steam runs Friday and Saturday downstairs in The Lombard Room.

Times: Friday 6PM - 9:30 pm    and Saturday all day!!!

Last year we had 90 youth participating. The sisters of Mary, Mother  of the  Eucharist were a huge “hit”.

St. John Bosco is considered as the saint of the youth. Founder of Salesian Society, named in honor of St. Francis de Sales.

His lifework was the welfare of young boys and girls, hence his title, "Apostle of Youth."

His methods centered on persuasion, authentic religiosity, and love for young people. He was an enlightened educator and innovator. Pope John Paul II named him "teacher and father to the young."

The Sisters of Our Lady Immaculate are a contemplative-active community of religious women founded in Guelph, Ontario by Mother Mary Josephine Mulligan and Father W. Lloyd Ryan on August 1, 1977 within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton.

The general aim of their Community is to strive for holiness of life in imitation of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Holy Mother Mary. Their charism in the Church is to offer their lives, prayers and works to God for the growth and spread of the Catholic Faith through a Eucharistic and Marian spirituality and in conformity with the teachings of the Holy Father and the College of Bishops in union with him.

In response to the needs of the Church, the Sisters have as their apostolates, the education of youth, particularly in the field of catechetics, and the care of the elderly and the deprived.
